What they did then exactly, was to go straight to Spectre, with introducing one of it’s members, Dr. EON didn’t do Casino Royale in the 1962, which would have been a great idea to do by then. After three Bond-films, those after GoldenEye, starring Pierce Brosnan, it was a good idea to start over, with a new Bond, Daniel Craig.
